Workshop Famous
University of Iowa’s Writers Workshop?

I’m a writer in High School and I’ve been looking into the famous Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa. I’ve heard it’s an excellent program, but I do have a couple questions. First, how difficult is it to get in? Also, has anyone out there been to the Writers’ Workshop? What was it like?

I imagine it’s difficult to get into, as it’s one of the top programs in the country. But you’ve nothing to lose by applying. You might also want to look at UVa’s “Young Writers” program for next summer [too late for this summer] – it’s a Very Good program, too.
