Whenever i try to run Rome Total War Gold, it crashes right away to desktop. Any idea how to solve this?
I use it on a pc i have for a year and the pc runs Vista which i assume could be the problem.
As soon as i run the game, the game appears to load (get a black screen for a few secs), but before i get to the options screen, the game already crashed and i get back to the vista desktop.
I tried rebooting and running in XP sp2 compatibility, which does not help. Any idea what might be the problem and how i can solve this?
Is it possible your computer doesn’t meet the requirements? I got the same type of things on my old computer. It could also be vista, if it doesn’t work in compatibility mode, it won’t work in your system, sorry. Vista’s a pain like that. I noticed the highest recommended system for that is XP, so I’d say it’s vista. Frustrating eh? No fix yet, as far as I know.
