Free File Renamer that allows Wildcards, for W7 x64?
I’m looking for free file renamer (no trials) for Windows 7 x64, that will allow a certain wildcard.
I have several files that need to be renamed that have text within brackets, and it all needs to be removed. As an example…
Original filenames:

3D Pocket Pool (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It,Nl).png
3-D Ultra Pinball – Thrillride (USA).png
102 Dalmatiner (Germany).png
Aventures de Buzz l’Eclair, Les (France).png
New filenames:
———————-

3-D Ultra Pinball – Thrillride.png
102 Dalmatiner.png

RenameMaestro allows you to use (*) to do this function, but it only has a 25 day trial. I have tried several other file renamers, but I’m getting no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Replace Pioneer is highly recommended for bulk file renaming, supporting regular expression replace, which is much powerful than wildcard. In your case, replace \(.*?\) to blank is ok.

You Can also rename files to any part of file name or file content, such as HTML title, or self defined location.
For MP3 files, can rename them by adding album, author,andtrack ID3.
For picture file, can rename them by adding picture size into filename.
Note that Replace Pioneer a shareware, but it’s really worth to have a try, and among all of its powerful features, file renaming is just a small function.
