Is there an age limit for cars racing on a closed circuit?

Me and my friend are both 17 and we were thinking about heading to our local race track and have a friendly race. He has a 2002 Mazda RX-8. I have a Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2009. Will they let us race, or are we too young?

You probably will not be able to race but not age. To be in a race track and a couple of things that happen … you need to appear when there is an organizer with a career and have a valid license from the competition and a car that meets safety requirements and class rules (ie, cage, 5-point harnesses, sample port fuel emergency bleached, etc..) would also be possible to rent the track for private use, although you may need a adequate insurance to rent it for competitive use, etc. .. although it would be 18 years or older to enter this type of contract (though this is probably much more expensive than what you're looking for).
