How do you enter cheats on tony hawk pro skater 4?

Im playing the game tony hawk pro skater 4 and I can’t figure out how to save the cheats. Lik..I type them in but, when I open my game..the cheats rnt on there..i can’t figure out how to do it. help mee soon please!
