does software engineering require lot of mathematics?

I am a senior in High School and am considering taking software engineering next year. I’m kind of hesitant because all throughtout high school I’ve been weak in math. Should I let this discourage me?

It is a mathematical discipline, but tends to be specific areas of maths. You may find, however, that when the maths is attached to something that interests you, you find it more engaging and understandable.

There are certain parts of software engineering which require more maths than others – modelling, graphics, for example.
