Will Crucials scanner tell me how much RAM is in each slot, and which slots are being used?

I have Vista 32bit, and it’s only compatible with 3.19GB RAM, I was told by an answerer to one of my questions. Right now, my computer says I have 2.87GB ram, so I’d like to install another 512MB stick, to make it have it’s full potential, but I’m not sure if there are any slots available.

Yeah it tells you how many you have and which are in use and what expanability You Can get from it. Don’t buy any ram there tho, get it from newegg.com a lot cheaper.

2.87 sounds like an odd amount, I’m Think You have some of your ram dedicated to video memory that isn’t reporting, your probably already maxed out but check on the site to make sure.
