Saints Row 2: Why do my tasks no longer appear suddenly in the middle of the game?

I was playing Saints Row 2 for Xbox 360 and suddenly stopped missions of my appearing. I was in about 35% of completion of the game when it stopped. Do I have to finish strengths or something?
