How I can fully restore my Dell Inspiron 1100 at its factory in Setttings and programs.?
How I can do this. I made a restore complete system on another computer, but in my dell i can only restore the OS (the disc SP1 Windows XP Home Edtion one.) Is there a way I SOLO eveything removes and restores the factory settings and programs. I have only one computer with Windows XP Home Edtion SP1 OS restore disk, inpiron Dell 1100 Drivers devices. I have no restore other discs. I also understand that Dell! Current Specs: Dell Inspiron 1100 2.4GHz Intel Pentium 4 Windows XP Home Edtion SP2 CD / RW and DVD-ROM optical drive. Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 Windows Media Player 11 Beta Linksys devices used.
You Can not restore XP SP1 on a computer already upgraded to SP2. You need to call Dell for an upgrade of the operating system CD. On the other hand, buying a new hard drive (similar to existing) HD replace old with new, and run the Dell restore the new HD. It should work. I've done before on a Dell PC. But if something goes wrong, simply switch back old hard drive.
