Why Rock Band game rated teen? Is it okay for young children?

I'm thinking of getting the game Rock Band for Xbox 360. I have two children aged 5 and 7 and would like to know whether it is appropriate for them (I'm buying more for me than them, but I wish I could play with them.) It's rated Teen, but I read reviews that said they did not have any sex, violence or foul language. So who is right? And if there are wrong things in there, there are options or game modes where You Can avoid this?
