Why are there so many religious freaks in America?

America is one of the most overtly religious countries in the world. Most traditional Christians are very conservative and are the reason why Americans are still stagnant in their quest for equality. Minorities and women are still being stereotyped, only white men are given true equality. And I find it ironic that even though the Bible preaches “everyone is equal” that religious zealots still discriminate against non-Anglo Saxon races, homosexuals, gothic people, and etc. Whatever happened to being “land of the free”? I mean look at the nutcase they voted into office simply because he was anti-gay marriage. Gays are people too, and so are women and minorities. So why are we being held liable for something so simple? All of us can do anything a white male can, yet conservatives can’t look into this truth.

Conservatives don’t listen to most of us.
Are You an American?
If so, the best thing You Can do is vote your conscience and live your values.
I didn’t vote for the Dubya either time.
I am an American, but I am not a “religious freak”.
I have spiritual values that I embrace in everyday life,though.
You seem very po’d and I’ll bet it’s not only about the state of the USA.
Maybe it’s best to take the focus off what is wrong with the USA and start being part of the change for the better.
