Putt Putt
Does anyone know of a putt putt golf place in Houston that is on a mountain, and it is off of a major freeway?

I don’t know if it is strictly putt putt golf or a place that has batting cages or bumper cars, but it is either off of I-45, or HWY 59, or 610. The course is built on a mountain/big hill and is right off the freeway, which ever freeway it is. If anyone knows of the name of this place or a phone number or location, can you please tell me all you know, thanks

Mountasia used to have additional facilities on the Katy Freeway (near Wilcrest) and Southwest Freeway (I’m thinking near Bissonett). They closed in the mid-90s. There’s only the one place left, up near Compaq/HP on 249.

How to Putt Better – Make More Short Putts

The average amateur three putts 8 to 10 holes a round. That is a huge number, and if we can eliminate them, that is 10 strokes immediately shaved off your game. I have two drills guaranteed to make you a better putter.

1. Develop a Pre Shot Routine

I can not stress enough how important this is. It should be short, and do the following things:
1. Read the Putt
2. Get a Feel for the Speed
3. Properly Align Yourself
4. Get you in the Mind Set of Making the Putt

It does not have to be anything fancy, but just something to get you comfortable over the ball.

2. Practice Short Putts

Grab three tees, and three balls. Place the three tees, at 3 feet from the hole, 5 feet, and 8 feet.

Now what you want to do is putt and make all three balls from three feet. After you make those putts, go to the 5 foot tee, and make all three. Then you go to the 8 foot tee and make all three putts. However, if you miss a putt at any tee, you have to start over from the three foot tee.

This will be frustrating at first, but it substantially increase the amount of putts you make from 8 feet and in. If you want, or if You Are short on time You Can modify it.

Instead of starting over you can do one of the two following modifications:
1. You can start over from the tee you just missed the putt at.
2. You can start over from the previous station, so if you miss one at the 8 foot tee, you start over at the 5 foot tee.
