Is this really unacceptable to do in a poker game?
I play poker with my dad and his friends, who obviously are much older than me (I am 35, they are mid 60s). He calls the same Games Over and OVER and OVER. We don’t even drink any beer. So out of boredom, I called a new twist to his “seven card stud, roll Your Own, low hold card wild, lowest hold Chicago” and I said the same game except instead of rolling your own, I said we were going to roll our neighbors. (meaning each round your neighbor holds his hand down and you pick one of his cards and roll it which could goof up the wild or the low chicago” They acted like I was an idiot and refused to play. Well all my other poker friends would have laughed their butt off and played it, but then again…..they are usually half lit. Is this really that unacceptable, or do people call games like this all the time to mix it up and they are being retarded?
(oh, and the stakes are nickel and dime, so it’s not like anyone is losing any money)
if its dealers choice, its a Good Game! I would play it. When we run into this, and someone at the table does not like the game, tell them they must ante up and just fold after receiving their cards.
