It is a multiplayer Online Game a good way to make money?
I know how to play multiplayer online, but is it worth the effort? I heard once the game is ready will need to run free for players a few years and encourage donations from the players. Then, when the base customers is large enough to change the pay for play model. Is this a good business model for the money?
Yes, I agree with most these guys here … the game has to be good for people interested in it, you have to have the market there, etc. All this requires a large investment time and money, and hiring employees. For example, you need somebody to do market research to find the best ways to reach your goal population. You have to have someone proof read all the dialogue, someone to make sure You Are not using without realizing the ideas of another, etc. All this has a lot, and when your competition is Blizzard and Sony Online Entertainment, you have your work for you.
