Strange error code after installing new hard drive?

A friend of mine asked me to replace a hard drive on your Dell Dimension 4500S – I did, and after installing Windows XP Pro is installed fine, but after installation before booting the windows came up with the message Error: "I / O interrupt PARITY CARD F000: AA4A." It gives me options to restart (To be restarted with the same situation) to continue (which has no other effect to re-print the error message on the screen) or click the "S" to turn off NMI (running after the Second Edition of the "S" button). My questions are, then, what is NMI, and how I can fix this problem? I apologize if I worded this wrong – I just got off a long shift of days / night shift / day shift schedule and I'm not awake. NMI Non-Maskable-disrupting means. Http: / / en.wikipedia.org / wiki / Non-maskable_interrupt Since the error occurred after installing from the disc, the issue is * more * likely with the drive. of course, there may have been some kind of problem with the system that caused the other drive failure, little is hard to tell on the basis of that error. I double would check everything in the system (including RAM) make sure everything connected properly, and compatible with the hardware.
