Rise Of Nations Crash and Patch help?

Was playing Rise of nations gold on Windows 7 and the game crashes always at the same times. and when I try to patch it It gets to 72 percent and says invalid patch. Please tell me a way to fix it or a manual patch.

didnt think rise of nations worked for windows 7

You Can always try to google the patch and download and install it manualy
