Good Game for a High School drama class?
any suggestions for a classic good game (I love music too, but that is a separate activity). The group is the advanced drama class and has 14 children, we are looking for a comedy, preferably not Shakespeare this year, or even a murder myst comedy? Thanks for your ideas!
I got a couple of suggestions for the shows I've done: Harvey, Mary Chase – The White Rabbit 6'2''invisible? It's one of my favorite works. It's funny and charming and does not require a huge deal. The film with James Stewart is a classic and the game is so good. This is definitely one that you should put on your list. Do not Drink the Water, by Woody Allen – a nutty comedy about a family of tourists who are trapped in a U.S. embassy in a country behind the iron curtain. Turns out the camera happy father took a picture of something Top Secret and the KGB want to arrest him and his wife and adult daughter. They can not leave the Embassy without being arrested so they are forced to feel at home among the eccentric staff of the embassy. Unfortunately, the Ambassador had stopped visiting the U.S. and left inept his son in office. Add to a priest who tried hard (and failing) to do magic tricks and has been living in the attic over the years, advisor to the ambassador is so close until he is the only person in the foreign service who knows the lyrics of the second stanza of the Star-Spangled Banner, "an official bad KGB, a chef dominant. And a time bomb (not really off) The result is complete chaos is an impressive work and their students will love. (Again, there is a cast smaller). Seriously, look at these two works. They are beautifully written, funny, and that will give students opportunities to explore character development. Well lucky!
