The Old Kingdom: Pyramids emerged as the new royal tombs.

The Middle Kingdom: Egyptian territory expanded to include Lower Nubia and the Near East. Literature included all aspects of society,from legal documents and letters to myths.

The New Kingdom: A time of great prosperity. Several kings led campaigns into Palestine,parts of which were brought under control.
Building projects were massive compared to earlier periods. A crisis
followed when contact with the Hittite Empire happened. After Ramses
the Third was assassinated he was followed by a series of weak kings,
and a corrupt administrative system which brought the New Kingdom to an end.
