In Lit class, my teacher is giving us a choice between reading Machine Time of HG Wells and Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles. If you've read one of these books or both, could you give me some information on whether your good or not and what should I choose? Thanksss =]

I would choose The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury The Martian Chronicles is one lyric precious collection of short pieces about the human colonization of Mars and its consequences. The book is absolutely steeped in what is best described as a feeling of nostalgia for the future. Bradbury romanticizes the Mars in the coming decades (1999-2026, the book was published in 1950) and distances the reader from the Earth itself. Mars is a wonderland, a place of great developed civilizations and individuals, is a place of protection. And Martian Chronicles, what Mars needs protection from us is. We partake of violence, war, advanced technologies that we have yet to master, mining, and proprietary ideas and colonization. It is one of my favorite books, I hope your election ends up being this wonderful story. You will not be disappointed.
