I’m looking for Civilization III, but not sure if it was made for Mac OS 9. I’d settle for Civilization II, but I can’t find any information about it anywhere on the web.

What is MOD? how to convert MOD to DVD on Mac?
Part I. What are MOD files?
.MOD files are JVC’s implementation of MPEG-2 transport streams, similar to a VOB file on a DVD or the M2T files used on Sony hard drive camcorders.
MOD and TOD are informal names of tapeless video formats used by JVC (MOD and TOD), Panasonic (MOD only) and Canon (MOD only) in some models of digital camcorders.
A MOD file contains a set of instruments in the form of samples, a number of patterns indicating how and when the samples are to be played, and a list of what patterns to play in what order.
NOTE:Panasonic Release its new MOD Camcorders–Panasonic SDR-S26.
As of 2009, MOD format is still being used in standard definition camcorders manufactured by JVC, Panasonic and Canon, which Mac apps don’t recognise.
So How to Play MOD on Mac for free or How to Convert MOD Videos to DVD on Mac from Panasonic SDR-S26 ?
Part II. How to Play MOD Video on Mac for free?
These cameras like Panasonic SDR-S26 record their movies as .MOD files. And as we know MOD video files are actually MPEG-2 files with AC3 audio.
MPEG2 files are not supported by Quicktime. You have to buy the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component from the Apple store. It costs $20.
There are some free ways to Play MOD files on a Mac:
- VLC player is a good choice.
- An alternative player is MPlayer.
- Convert .MOD to another format MOV or MP4 use ffmpegX.
Part III. How to Burn MOD Video to DVD on Mac ?
Step 1.Run Mac Dvd Creator (which can act as an MOD to DVD Burner) and Load MOD videos.
Click “Add” button to load MOD videos from Panasonic SDR-S26.
Step 2. Edit MOD Files
You Can trim and crop the video files and adjust the effects before burning the videos to DVD on Mac OS X.
Step 3. Edit DVD Menu
This MOD to DVD burner for Mac allows you to create Your Own DVD menu with various built-in resources. Click the Menu button on the bottom right of the main interface to edit the DVD’s menu.
Step 4. Previewing the Project
After finishing all the editing, you can click the Preview button on the main interface to preview your DVD project.

After you choose the correct DVD disk and the suitable video quality, you can click the Burn button to set burning settings and burn your DVD project. There are three output options: DVD, DVD Folder and ISO File.
