How to display game winners get paid? And you get taxed profits? Are they like lottery winnings?
If possible, I would like to get some answers from anyone who has been a Game Show contestant or winner, or a winning lottery ticket, and perhaps no accounting with experience. Game show hosts never mention how or when the winners get paid!
Monetary awards and distinctions are taxable income to the recipient. The profits from TV shows or radio, awards, lotterries profit and competition are other income to taxpayers, even in the casino. An exeption to this is in the form of tangible personal property, like the gold watch, entertainment systems, appliances and more. Do you believe? … TV, "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch was sentenced to prison for failing to report $ 1.4 million dollars in revenue from "Survivor" and others.
