They come from everywhere to be in this career. From professional corridor warrior weekend, a large number of occupations, the grid is full for the 35th anniversary this week of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, the legendary granddaddy of all races the desert. The final event of the six-race 2002 Optima SCORE will be held from Wednesday to Saturday in Baja California, Mexico. Meyers and Wilson, who will be the only entry into the special class SCORE Legend, will to create a wonderful piece of history when the new race Manxter Meyer 2 +2, the latest version of their 1967-Isle of Man Meyer champion. With 237 entries to date, more 240 official holders are expected to begin the odyssey. The adventurers representing 30 U.S. states and 10 countries competing in 24 Pro and Sportsman classes 5 for cars, trucks, motorcycles and all terrain vehicles. "These brokers, many of the third generation of adventurers in the desert, are remarkable and this year odyssey is a tribute to his tenacity, creative genius and the insatiable desire to excel. "In addition to all runners SCORE regular tickets earlier this year includes classic rally racers and SCORE international runners to make this annual pilgrimage. Desert racing has always been about family teams and this year Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 is an excellent example of this. grid this year currently includes 87 brothers racing together and seven runs separately. The race also has 17 fathers racing with their children and seven parents whose children are seven racing in separate vehicles.
A relative of racing, McMillins, will have three generations in the race this year. Corky McMillin and his sons Mark and Scott Drive each in the unlimited Class 1 and has a son Scott and his co-driver Andy. Between parent and children of other races together are Bud and his son Buddy Feldkamp in Class 1, Dan and his father Gary Myers in Class 1, Chad and his father Rod Hall in the full backup, Larry and his son Chad Ragland in SCORE Trophy Truck, Mark Hutchins and his son CJ in Class 10, and Morley and his son Mike Williams in SCORE Lite. Counting Larry Ragland (7), Mark Post / Jerry Whelchel (2), Juan Ibarra, Larry Roeseler, Brian Collins, and Mark Miller (1 win each), 40 of 55 all-time truck career SCORE Trophy winners, are competing this year. All but MacCachren and Roeseler, who are competing in the unlimited Class 1 are entered in SCORE Trophy Truck.
