Key Windows
is windows key good for 2 computers under fair use?

im getting windows 7 in a under a week getting the early release.
so i would like to know is windows key good for 2 computers under fair use? or am i going to have to buy another one for my second pc?

Nope. One key per computer, that’s how it is. It is possible to buy additional licenses from Microsoft, but they provide separate keys for each license.

Microsoft Office does allow you to install a copy on two computers though. The intent is to install one copy on a desktop, and another on a laptop for mobile productivity. I was somewhat surprised to read that in the license agreement.

But the operating system itself…one key, one computer. You Can only install it on two computers if you remove it from the first before putting it on the second. So it would be more accurate to say “one computer at a time”.
