A Womans Voice
"Her voice was ever low, soft and tender an excellent thing in woman." – King Lear.
In the story, a voice of women have been revered in poetry and song. "It's a woman's voice, sire, which dares to say what many yearn in silence." (Letter not sent to Napoleon III re: Victor Hugo) by poet Aurora Leigh.
We know that each culture brings a different set of rules for women are considered or in relation to. States America has been known that the path of Women's Rights. However, in Europe there is also a long history of powerful women create the roadmap for the civility of women.
Women Presidents are developing countries around the world for years, and more people are taking the lead to become powerful political leaders, as Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who has been sworn in as Africa's first elected woman leader of Liberia. In Ireland, a boy asks his mother, "Do You Think a man can be president? "All his life he has only seen presidents.
It is inspiring to see how far we've come. However, we still have a long way to go. Women to be President of the States United States States is not really a question of women's rights, but the character. When it comes to Hilary Clinton will be voted in his character and his ability to lead after the elections in November 2008. Creating a unified voice, strong and courageous, is what our future needs.
That is of Danish origin, women in Copenhagen, Denmark are at the front so the main impact of the rights of women. For example, the International Women's Day, 'On March 8, 1857, women working in clothing and textile factories in New York, held a protest. The March 8, 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York demanding shorter hours, better pay, voting rights to eradicate child labor. Following the declaration Socialist Party of America, the first National Women's Day was celebrated in the United States February 28, 1909. Women continued to celebrate the last Sunday of that month until 1913.
An international conference held by socialist organizations from around the world gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1910. The conference proposed Socialist International Women's Day which was designed to be international. The proposal initially came from Clara Zetkin, a German socialist, suggested an International Day to commemorate the strike by garment workers in the United States, as situated in the United Nations Cyber School Bus
The proposal was approved unanimously by the conference more than 100 women 17 countries, including the first three women elected to the Parliament of Finland. Day was created to honor the movement for women's rights, including the right to vote. It was then select any date fixed for the celebration. Since those early years, the International Women's Day has assumed a new global dimension for women in developed and developing countries alike.
* Refrence side? (In December 1977 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Human Rights of Women and International Peace. Four global conferences of the United Nations women have contributed to the demand for women's rights and participation in the political and economic process of growing reality.
In 1975 the UN drew global attention for having the first conference on women in Mexico City. Another convention was held Copenhagen, Denmark in 1980. In 1985, the UN convened a third conference on women in Nairobi, Kenya, to see what had been achieved at the end of the decade. In 1995, Beijing hosted the Fourth World Conference on Women. Representatives from 189 different countries agreed that "inequalities between women and men has serious consequences for the welfare of all people. "(1))
Finding your voice.
As we mourn for Benazir Bhutto, 54 years later his recent horrible murder December 27.2007, reflecting on the impact women have in the world right now. His message was clear, he refused to keep quiet and allow extremism which continue to destroy his beloved country, Pakistan. Their heroic resistance of democracy has become his legacy. Not all voices have to die and I am here to present a radical and simple, focus on how to discover their voice and be heard, in honor of Bhutto. No matter what country or what culture, your voice can make a difference.
If you are in their belief that their voice can not speak for you, or your children, or the belief that their voice can not make a difference, this is the heart of the franchise You Can face.
His passions are clear, but they speak? Your opinions are valuable, but how to sing from the rooftops? It is again the "exploitation", where the change you want to see, not be carried out. The change you want to see in your life, and the world around you.
By remembering Bhutto, we remember a brave, passionate and loving mother. A mother of three children who loved his country from Pakistan so much, she became Prime Minister on two occasions. Bhutto's persecution began after the dismissal of his father, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1977 and his execution by hanging in the city of Rawalpindi. It stepped up its allegations of Zia and sought to organize a powerful political movement against him.
After the hanging of his father, his mission was clear: "I told my oath in his death cell, I would like to continue with his work, "to liberate the people of Pakistan, once and for all, from the Communists and extremist violence has ravaged their country.
Bhutto was born June 21, 1953, in Karachi, Pakistan. Its name means "one without equal." She was educated at Harvard Radcliffe College in the United States at 16 years of age, and the University of Oxford in England, where he excelled in studies and other activities. She was the first Asian woman to be elected president of the Oxford Union, an elite debating society.
In a country where the rights of women, are almost nonexistent, and neighboring countries are cultural and religious beliefs that women are not supposed to be educated, or at work, she says: "What I really need to ask is: "I give up, do I let the militants determine the agenda?"
The "Times" magazine and "Australia" (May 4, 1996) have developed a list of 100 most powerful women and have included Benazir Bhutto as one of them. This magnetic woman, who left in exile in London several times after being put under house arrest, was finally jailed in solitary confinement in a desert cell in Sindh province in the summer of 1981. Launched in 1984, went into exile in Britain until 1986, when martial law was lifted in Pakistan. Bhutto returned with a huge crowd numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

His supporters returned to the streets to greet her when she returned from exile in Britain to Lahore in April 1986. She was greeted by crowds so large that his motorcade took 9 ½ hours to travel the eight miles from the airport to a meeting place in Lahore. Formally elected president the following month, Bhutto lost no time in organizing mass protests and civil disobedience campaigns to pressure Zia to relinquish office and call national elections.
In an interview with Ann Curry in February 22, 2007 Today for the show with such passion reveals his reasons for return. "I have the option to remain silent, and allow the extremists to do what they are doing or that could stand up and say this is wrong, and I try to save my country. And I have taken the second option. "
In October 2007 Bhutto returns to Pakistan to run for the presidency to release 165 million people from terrorism. In declaring a state of emergency in Pakistan on November 3, 2007, he said,
"I think the solution lies in breaking the link, and what it means bringing democracy. "
His followers were in the years hundreds of thousands of people. Especially the down trodden and the poor, the forgotten and the severely abused and harassed, Bhutto platform has been on the left. For example, the food drive for hungry health care, employment, elimination slum and a minimum monthly wage, which has been opposed by Islamic fundamentalists.
His voice gave hope when there was no hope. His words and actions brought generations of Pakistan near the freedom of those who have never seen in history. In the spirit of not holding back his voice, looking at his own power, their own voice, their own ability to make a difference, and let's explore what you really need to be heard and make an impact in the world?
target = "_blank">
Begin to distinguish what really matters to you? If someone messed with what really matters to you, you let them? Could you stand by and watch? It would probably take a stand, stand for someone or something you Think You would end up doing the right thing … even when it is most difficult to do.
Now, although this article is directed toward women, and his voice … men to special care. This is for you too. On to-day circumstances of our life to continue happening. How do we respond to these circumstances, the words we choose, and with the actions we take, starting with us. Nobody can do that for you. You can perfectly understand your life looking at your past, but you can live your life really only looking forward. Look to your future is one that inspires you?
For Bhutto, the future he saw for herself, her children and children of Pakistan resisted the warnings against the campaign, knew and believed that she was the best hope for restoring democracy. She ultimately sacrificed himself for his country. Ms. Albright spoke of his eloquence, "She was an extraordinary human being. I knew I was in grave danger when she returned … a great tragedy."
Bhutto was assassinated in Rawalpindi, the city where her father was hanged in 1979. The combined and shooting attack killed after leaving a political rally, standing through the roof of his armored vehicle to wave millions of fans, came as Bhutto held a series of mass meetings across Pakistan. Most of his followers saw hope in her, but her hope took her in his assassination in the same city his father was killed in.
His voice rings loud and clear, especially in the ears of their children. She brought her children through adolescence, and before his death, she certainly taught about the importance of not remaining silent and not to be outdone, and allowing inhuman actions persist around them. His eldest son speaks (from the New York Times, December 31, 2007) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, 19, said: "My mother always said democracy is the best revenge. "After he was elected to succeed his mother as leader of Pakistan People's Party.
Powerful Communication
Leaders agreed that in their desire to be heard, he would have to listen first. After hearing the views of others, is a critical competency for success. Listening to others and asking their opinion, we increase our capacity for leadership. Our effectiveness is the ceiling. Why? When we listen to others first, they often discover that they are also more willing to hear us. Not to mention, understand and appreciate other people's points of view.
Communication in relationships is a skillful art that starts with listening. Listening, speaking and not immediately in the first place will usually have the person you wish to make a difference to know that have been heard. Then, when you talk to that person will feel more inclined to listen deeply to you.
When we choose our response, rather than a reaction blind to our circumstances, we gain freedom and power. Our choices may not always be who is like or feel comfortable, but at day's end we are always learning, growing and expanding.
You realize that once they begin to be responsible, and start taking responsibility and not a victim. You no longer is at the mercy of others. Think to yourself, "What role could have played the game or make a difference in this situation? "Owning your truth or lack of actions, not only have to live your life harder, but it is a gift of freedom for yourself and others.
Some simple changes can make the world of difference. Instead of using the word 'problem', for example, try to use the Word Challenge ", or" circumstances "in place. See what happens. I immediately realized that the "problem" I thought I was having made it less intimidating and easier to solve when I saw it as an opportunity.
You begin to notice his power in his life. Another great tool is being held accountable. It is the greatest freedom that we can create for ourselves.
"Those who enjoy of accountability usually get it, those who merely like exercising authority usually lose it. "
– Malcolm Forbes
