Where was the scene of the horse race filmed?

I saw the movie The Quiet Man starring John Wayne yesterday and Maureen O'Hara, a horse race held on a beautiful beach in a picturesque corner of Ireland. I know the village of Cong was made famous by the movie, but I would love know where the rest of it was filmed.
