MLB All Star Game Selection Suggestion?
What do You Think of an All Star game where only the players who were not in last years game are elligible? Would that eliminate the big name has beens and open the game to fresh blood?
Any other suggestions?
I think that the big name has beens are a fun part of the All Star games. Players who attract crowds, and who the fans can reminisce of, are worth watching. I think it would take away from people who deserve to be all stars every year ala Pujols and A-Rod etc. If you think about it, not many big name has beens are on this years’ team.
I think the best variation would be to have something like a 7 year all star limit, as to welcome mostly players in their prime.
