Drivers struggling to get out of Nascar
They say that racing is in your blood. For most of these drivers, is all they have ever done … tinkered with cars since childhood. This may justify why it is extremely tough to walk away from the most competitive racing in the States USA. Several NASCAR superstars of the 1980s and 1990s are having a difficult time away from the sport. When we look at some drivers who are returning in 2009, either on a full time basis or part-time only, it is quite surprising considering that NASCAR has evolved into a sport, supposedly a young man.
.
Bill Elliott announced his retirement from full time competition after this season 2003. However, continued to compete on a part-time basis in 2004 with Evernham Motorsports. When Elliott left the No. 9 ride in 2003, was on top of their game, winning at Rockingham in the last month of the season. In 2005 and 2006, continued his part-time, driving Front Row Motorsports and Evernham Motorsports. Performance was not there, and Bill billion Dollar Bill ", or" Awesome Dawsonville was a simple filling of field. In 2007, Elliott began driving for the Brothers wood select races in the hope of facilitating a team in terms of performance. With Elliott behind the wheel, the venerable No. 21 Ford improved, but not was nothing dramatic. Elliott returned to the Wood Brothers in 2008 for a part-time. In 2009, Elliott is expected to compete in at least twelve races
.
It's good see Elliott at the racetrack, and will always be a legend, but can not help wondering how his stick around has affected his legacy. When You Think of Bill Elliott, you want to think of its dominant position in the super speedway in the mid-1980s Coors red Ford Thunderbird, or turn a lap that was over 212 kilometers per hour Talladega game in the era of pre-restrictor plate. I do not want to remember Elliott as the driver that is used to champion provisional to the past, and was lapped by the leaders increasingly turning fifty. Terry Labonte is another name that comes to mind when thinking about drivers who seem to be having a difficult time hanging up his helmet. He emptied of full-time ride with Hendrick Motorsports in the 2004 season, but stayed with the organization to run a partial plan in 2005 and 2006. Since moving away from a program Full Labonte has driven for Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, Hall of Fame Racing and Petty Enterprises. Labonte will drive for the upstart Prisma Motorsports at the 51st running of the Daytona 500. Recently admitted that he is interested in adding to their workload in 2009
.
"I would not mind mobile eight, ten or twelve races, something like that. Depend on who it was. I have to know them. I had a blast last year. It was really fun, " said two-time champion. Of course, you have the unresolved Mark Martin. Now fifty years, Martin announced his "Salute To You (fans) Tour 'in 2004, as the 2005 season would be his last season. When Kurt Busch requested his release from Roush Fenway Racing in August 2005, Jack Roush take another driver and no one was available more qualified than Martin. He agreed to return to the No. 6 Ford for one last season
.
The problem with Martin was the fact that remained ultra-competitive, qualifying for the Chase for the championship in 2004, 2005 and 2006. I still wanted to compete against the best drivers in the world. Signed with the now-defunct Ginn Racing to compete in a limited schedule in 2007, and stayed with the team in 2008, despite Ginn Racing was absorbed by Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. In fact, Martin replaced the mega-popular Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the No. 8 Chevrolet
.
When Martin ran, was the competition, close to winning on several occasions. In the summer 2008, decided to return to full-time competition, but this time they try to win the elusive title with Hendrick Motorsports , In the car that, ironically, used to drive Terry Labonte. Martin's success at the midpoint of a century of his life reminds us of Bobby Allison, who still struggle for victory up an injury in his career, ending at Pocono in 1988. Allison was fifty years old at the time of his devastating injury, and could have run until he was in his mid-fifties. Unfortunately, Bill Elliott and Terry Labonte are hanging a little longer than they should, like Darrell Waltrip and Richard Petty. Well, at least two stock car lights still having a blast

Who will be on the nascar 2010 game cover?
I think David Ragan should be on there. But do you know who will actually be on there?
I’m a Kasey Kahne fan, but I think Kyle Busch will make the cover…
