Fishing Craze
GF suddenly obsessed with sardines?

We now have over two hundred of those little sardine containers in our pantry. Whenever anyone comes over, she breaks one out and begins asking, “Sardines anyone?” Most people don’t like sardines. I don’t like sardines. Why would a person suddenly become so enthralled with a particular fish? They are fish, aren’t they? (No, she is not pregnant.) How do I know this? She doesn’t crave ice-cream. These things have a very long shelf life. But there is no born on date. Why no born on date? What happens if this is just a passing craze? Who will eat the rest of the sardines? She knows I don’t like them. Will she try to get me to eat them anyway? Is this a, “deal breaker?”

I was also surprised to learn that sardines supply a hefty amount of calcium. Maybe she is in need of some nutritional component of sardines.

Personally, I think they taste great with saltines!
