I need a poem for the opening of a fictional story I’m writing about a woman meeting a fallen angel. I would credit the author of course, I just need a good poem.

It is about a fallen angel but in a subtle way I don’t know if it will work for you?
Ripples
How do I began upon this life of mine, I need an angel from heaven to send me a sign. She’ll lay them out so clear to see, everyone will find them except for me. Later I hear one say, “Ripples came from heaven today.” My soul cannot comprehend all the lessons heaven will send. Happiness is whispered for me to hear a feeling that will take a way my fear. A fear of living a life so wrong that others will be pushed away from the song. One asks me, “The ripples from heaven have they been here long?” Confused and shuttered I can not bear to stand here and breath this air. I pull away from the world around and stand in amazement at what I had found. Ripples were formed in heaven above and sent as a sign of love. Even angels in heaven do make mistakes and ripples affect the lives that we make, but this life is yours and You Are the one who must open the door.

Angel Costumes for Halloween

This Halloween, there is an even greater choice of fancy dress available than ever before.  This means that there is no excuse for predictably dressing up as a witch or vampire yet again.  However, it can be very difficult to decide on a costume, given the bewildering range of outfits to choose from.  So here’s a suggestion — why not dare to be mischievous and naughty and dress up as a dark messenger in a devil red or black angel costume?  There are some fantastic outfits around at the moment and fallen angel costumes are among the sexiest around!

If you have difficulty in deciding whether to be naughty or nice, then a double trouble angel fancy dress costume will show your true colours.  The costume represents the balance between good and evil and a dual personality.  This outfit is available on line in both child and adult sizes and consists of a half devil half angel “Marabou” trim dress with bell sleeves, half devil half angel glitter wings and a halo/horn headband.  The devil side is the left half of the costume, which is in red and the angel side (which is white, of course) is the right half.

If Gothic is your thing, then you could dress up as a skull angel.  I have seen a wonderful gothic skull dark angel costume, which includes a black dress with silver lacing at the front and a tattered skull printed skirt, a headband with mini skull detailing around a black halo and black sheer wings.  Matching accessories include a skull wand and opaque black stockings also with skull detailing.  This angel costume would be fabulous teamed with black lace-up boots and elbow length black gloves.

If you want to display your rebellious streak, then you will really stand out in the crowd in a full-length silver coloured fallen angel costume, available for hire or purchase through the internet.  This is one of the most beautiful angel fancy dress outfits I have seen and could easily double up as an evening gown.  The clever thing about this dress is that the wings are attached by sliding the metal wires at the end of the wings directly into two thin discreet slots (one for each wing), sewn into the inside of the back of the dress. Therefore, if you want to wear it minus wings, it is easy to do so.  The wings themselves are huge, amazing creations and the silver coloured rose halo could double as a tiara for an evening function.  This is not a cheap costume, costing in the region of 200 dollars, but is well worth it in my opinion, as it looks very classy and is so versatile.

So, there’s no excuse for donning that tired old Freddie Krueger mask or Dracula’s fangs.  Have fun instead in a fallen angel fancy dress costume this Halloween!
