Photoshop help, cityscape color/texture effects tips?
I’m working on a year 12 school project for Design Practical (Computer Art) Basically I need to create a dynamic landscape using my own set of tools and skills, no images allowed (Only for textures, skies and clouds etc)
I need to draw each building on an A4 piece of paper in extreme detail, scan it in and then add it to my large cityscape A4 (vertical) picture in Photoshop etc. I’ve completed about half of it but I’m having trouble adding in certain colors and textures to each building. Sounds very complicated, and believe me it is. I’ve been working on this ever since September.
I came across this image, and I totally fell in love with it

I want the exact same color depth as that image… Ignore Metal Gear Solid label…
To get the kind of depth you’re looking for, you have to work in a very high resolution. A lot of the drama of your sample image comes from the perspective. Here is a Photoshop training video that is exactly on point for this:
The information you’re looking for starts at about 5 minutes into the vid.
