Some repercussions:
Native American tribes had to sign treaties with the US government because of their losses in the War of 1812 against Britain.
In 1830 the Congress passed the Indian Removal Act which authorized the president (Andrew Jackson) to negotiate treaties that exchanged Native American Tribal lands in the eastern states for lands west of the Mississippi. Forced migration of several tribes to the west resulted in several thousand native indians dying en route. The Act also directly caused the ceding of Spanish Florida and led to many Seminole Wars.
