How do you completely reset computer with no boot disc, but have the product key?

I basically want to make my computer completely brand new, back to the way it was the day I got it; not just system restore. I have an hp laptop with windows media center edition 2005 but it didn’t come with a disc just a product key. Can I use any windows media center 2005 disc to load it using my product key? If so where do I get one of those discs?

U can use any other disc but it won’t have any drivers on it. The best way is to contact HP using their toll free and if u ask them for recovery discs they are required by law to send them to you free of charge.
