How do I download Sims 2 Double Deluxe on my computer?

So, I may seem a little stupid with this shizz, but…I normally am not.
It’s just I don’t know if it’s compatible, and when I go to find the disc under the correct category under ‘my computer’, it doesn’t read it.
So, what exactly do I have to do in order for it to work?
–I can also tell you what the back of the case says, if need be..just ask…

Does your computer have a DVD drive? Sims2 Double Deluxe only comes on DVD disks, which cannot be read by CD-rom drives, only by DVD drives.
