The search for Flamenco

Perhaps no art form is more strongly associated with Spain than flamenco. The force seductive, rhythmic music flamenco player, accompanied by movements of the flamenco dancer passionate force, seduces tourists and natives alike Spanish.

Its origins can be filled of mystery, its complexities and subtleties widely misunderstood, flamenco, but continues to gain fans around the world to perform in an increasing number from outside their homeland.

It is natural that when tourists visit Spain, many of them are willing to take at least a flamenco show. Therein lies a problem, however. The truth of flamenco aficianados tell you that art has deteriorated to such an extent that most of what is "in the show" Spain – including native Anadalucia flamenco – is far from authentic.

The following are recommendations for some local flamenco you may want to check out on his visit to Spain. Although they differ greatly from each other in the atmosphere, the cost of entry, and quality of services such as food, can be reasonably sure that any of these will provide an experience of authentic flamenco.

Madrid

Chinitas Cafe, near the Plaza Santo Domingo. You can dine while watching action or opt for a drink. Catering to tourists and locals, the shows are extravagant, but the flamenco is real.

The Corral the Moorish, in the area of Las Brisas. Now, more than 50 years, has earned a reputation around the world to show the best flamenco artists in Spain.

Red Torres, Romans Mesoneros street just off the Gran Via. Often, fewer people than the previous two, this flamenco show offers quality services in a environment that some may find more relaxing.

Barcelona

Flamenco Tablao Cordoba in the center of town near the southern end of Las Ramblas. This club has been going strong since 1970, winning international recognition for its flamenco presentations. Performances take place upstairs and dinner is available.

Tarantos in Plaza Reial 17. One of the oldest flamenco clubs of Barcelona, Tarantos has a reputation for presenting only the finest flamenco artists. Sure check your calendar before you go, however, due to alternate with night flamenco nights dedicated to jazz or other types of music.

Seville

Casa de la Memoria, Barrio de Santa Cruz area. No food or drink that here, instead, this club offers flamenco in its purest form. The setting is a beautiful dance Andalusian-style courtyard in a 18th century palace. There is a fee of EUR 12, and the two evening shows are fast depleting. Therefore we must go to the club during the day to purchase tickets in advance.

The Carbonari, in a narrow street called Calle Levies, and is marked by a red door with no signs (Which no doubt have to ask directions). This is a bar-type venue offering flamenco shows and no cover charge, food and beverages are available at reasonable prices.

Casa Anselma, Triana in Seville. Arriving at Casa Anselma, be prepared for flamenco that breaks spontaneously and is often improvised. But do not worry, this is the good stuff – the owner, Anselma, flamenco is a highly acclaimed artist in his own right. Things really get going around midnight. There is no cover charge; Anselma and the actors make their money from the sale of beverages.

Marbella

Arts & Flamenco Albero Pub on Calle Vicente Ibáñez. Although most people think that flamenco, the dance, the name is properly referred to the musical style. Here is a place where the focus is on music, you'll find sing and play guitar, but usually do not dance. It is true, however, even on the odd side – Performances take place in a bullring drill.

These recommendations for places where you can enjoy authentic flamenco in Spain are only a handful of election ahead. If You Are in a city not listed above, and want to find a satisfactory flamenco show, just ask around. The locals will know.

Can you please help me find these 4 songs?

The first I heard was at a Golden Corral. It sounded like Culture Club, but I'm not sure. All the lyrics I remember is "Rhythm of the Future" was the second one bit has a similar melody 2 Michelle Branch everywhere. Everybody Wants It says "To" I think it sounds like Men At Work or Men Without Hats The third is a slow song I heard in 1996, goes like "For The First Time In My Life Waiting For You" The last song I heard in 1996 is also, not sure what song lyrics, but it is a female vocal song with gentle harp music Please tell me the name and artist of these songs Thanks!
