Can i account transfer a character using the Burning Crusade trial on WoW?

I used refer a friend with my buddy and i didn’t play on the character i leveled for awhile, but now i’m bored and want to level him on my main account. Hes out of subscription and is eligible for the burning crusade trial, and was wondering when i activate the trial if i can account transfer him during the trial?
