What charities benefit of members of the Canadian Forces?
I'm trying to create an online Poker Tournament a protion of the prize will go to benefit a charitable organization dedicated to the Canadian Forces. I need a good charity before.
A charity that comes to mind is the Fund for military families. This charity was founded by former Chief of Staff Gen. Rick Hillier. Its purpose is to complement other programs. Its mission is to help military families in their time of need. Perhaps most importantly, provides support to soldiers returning from service who are suffering of physical and psychological effects of their mission. I have also linked a recent Fifth Estate documentary that looks at PTSD among military.
