Are there modern PC or console adventure / Puzzle Solving games similar to Kings Quest VI?

Are there modern Adventure Games for PC or even game systems (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, etc.) that resemble Kings Quest or Escape From Monkey Island? These are games where there is a storyline and you walk around and investigate a world and solve puzzles, talk to characters, or find items, rather than simply shooting enemies. It would be similar to the parts of Zelda where you have to figure out how to do something. If you know Video Games like this, can you recommend some titles… (I don’t mind if the games have some action or fighting, but I like games that make You Think, too.)
