Mountain Trophy
hunting northwest Oregon coast?

I'm hoping to find some information about mountain lions hunting in the mountain area of Oregon northwest coast range. I have never hunted or even seen a cougar in the wild so any advice or assistance or local hot spots you know that can help me get my trophy bobcat is very welcome. thank you very much.

Well thank you for helping to control this population of lions. First, the largest population of lions here in Oregon is located in the counties of Jackson and Josephine. Where I live and hunt. But they are everywhere and fish and games are very willing to help you get so ask a branch office in the unit are on the hunt. More effictive legal means of taking a lion is found an area with high rocky cliffs with panoramic views and a good population of deer. Get yourself a fawn distress call and establish a place is difficult for the lion to walk behind you. I'd rather have a ridge of rock in my back. The lion probably downwind approach but not always. Camo and control is sent fundamental and early in the morning seems to be more productive. Follow the directions on the box for the use of your call. Cousins asks prefer brand. The hardest part is not shoot one of the other animals that responds to the call faster than a lion careful. Be patient. If bears and lynx, and so You Are responding doing things right. Just let it approach and can dig a bit though, see you and flee. Keep calling and seeing waiting for his lion. Generally, be very close before you see them, and only get one shot. They are super fast but have very small lungs and can not go far without a break. So very slow and jump up with the speed of light. You will not hear coming. A decoy can also help put his lion where desired. It is here in Oregon illeagle use game birds or animals as bait. However, a chicken wing on a piece of fishing line hanging from a branch of a tree moving in the wind usually get all kinds of attention. I could go on and on. I hope it helps if you have further questions would be happy to assist. Oregon has that many pumas are killing our deer and elk herds threatning livestock and pets. My country has a rate agreed to kill anyone who can run and is receiving 30k a year to do it! We use for to hunt with dogs, but the new influx California liberals voted for it to be. My country voted against, but no matter. So the people of Portland do not have Cougars get to say popular rural Jackson County on how to control the population. We have opened most of the season of the year, 24 hours a day and can not stop them. They breed like house cats. Last year I was chasing cats 4 dogs. 2 dogs were killed and eaten right there on the spot. I had to pull it one had his skull smashed. The fourth and final greyhound refuses to look more and retired to a house dog. Good hunting we thank you for your efforts. get the kitten
