Is not it a wonder how only the good in the movies and novels come to be remembered as heroes only to obtain their own stories? Why do not the bad guys get the same thing even though his characters are sometimes represented much better by writing or presented to the hero or heroin. In addition, ill have a life too! Well … that's what the novelist Gregory Maguire thought when he wrote the award-winning, best-selling book entitled Bad: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is a story parallel to L. Frank Baum classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The novel is set mostly before Dorothy, the main character The Wizard of OZ and shows the Land of Oz from the perspective of the witches.
The musical Wicked is a two-stage act tells the story of Elphaba, the future of the Wicked Witch West and his love-hate relationship with fellow witches Galinda, the Good Witch of the North. The musical shows how their unique friendship blossoms, however, faces a myriad of difficulties due to their differences, their contrasting personalities and ways of thinking, his strange love triangle with the same love interest, his varied responses to the corrupt government of The Wizard of Oz and, finally, the marked decrease of Elphaba. The game includes many scenes and dialogues of the first movie Wizard of OZ and makes many references to it.
The concept came about when Stephen Schwartz found the novel while on holiday in 1995 and realized what a well written book had an even greater hidden potential to become a stage show or musical in 1998 and met Schwartz Maguire bought the rights to produce theater. It took more than a year by Schwartz, who collaborated with Emmy Award winner writer Winnie Holzman to develop the plot and the initial projects and the letter of the original score have also been developed at the same time scripts. In April 2003, the cast was complete and ready to show to Broadway.
Malo's musical debuted on Broadway October 30, 2003. As a production of Universal Pictures, is a star-studded event directed by Joe Mantello. Although The show received mixed reviews and The New York Times even dumped the whole idea by saying that flop horribly, the musical proved otherwise and proved a real success and is a beloved favorite among all who come to the fair. WICKED Musical performance tickets are sold out quickly online tickets to Wicked can be booked online. You Can get discounted tickets to the Broadway musical show Malo with little searching online.
